The idea of providing low cost Product Identification Numbers to the growing online sellers originated in the year 2015 when the Owner & Director of QuickBarcode.com, Mr. Raj K Bansal started their online business with the ecommerce platforms like Amazon. At that time, Product IDs were required to list the products on the ecommerce platforms and there were not many suppliers for the UPC Codes. Buying Product IDs from global organizations was not cost effective as new businesses can not afford to pay Rs. 50000 for barcodes just to check if their product will perform on the ecommerce website or not. As a result, Mr. Raj K Bansal arranged Unique Product Codes from abroad at low cost and uploaded their products on Indian Ecommerce platforms. Then comes to idea of selling the product codes as online sellers were growing at that time, with thousands of new businesses registering to sell online with the ecommerce platforms. So the UPC codes were put up for sale on eBay India in 2015. They started receiving the orders soon and the new online sellers got unique codes from the eBay store at 1/100th the price as compared to other companies.
Then eBay closed its operations in India in 2018 and soon the website www.QuickBarcode.com was launched by Mr. Bansal in June 2018 to cater the needs of online sellers. Soon it was realized that as the market was growing, manufacturers just didn't want to sell their products online, they also wanted to apply standardized barcodes on their products that can be used for the billing and inventory management purpose at the retail stores. Keeping the demands in mind, the Retail Barcodes section was launched on the website. The website which was previously running under the individual name, was later shifted to the newly incorporated company Tealight Innovations Pvt. Ltd. in September 2020. Since its launch in June 2018, QuickBarcode.com has served to more than 2000 customer (till December 2020). Combine it with the eBay store that opearated from 2015 to 2018, more than 5000 customers are benefitted from our services.
