Q1 . Do You Provide Barcodes Starting With 890 Series?

Ans. Please note that Unique Product Codes provided by QuickBarcode.com are NOT REGISTERED with any Barcode Issuing Authority/Organization of India or Abroad Like GS1/UCC, Nor QuickBarcode.com is authorized/registered by any of the barcode issuing organizations, either Government or Private, to resell the Barcodes/Unique Product Numbers. Please don't confuse our services with Government Barcode Registration/GS1 Registration/GS1 Registered Barcodes or anything similar. WE DO NOT PROVIDE BARCODE NUMBERS WITH STARTING DIGITS 890. Please note that our barcodes are accepted in all retail outlets where barcode scanning is done  for billing purpose and the retail outlet keeps the data of product in their local barcode POS software from where data is fetched as soon as barcode is scanned. Our barcodes will NOT BE ACCEPTED in any retail store who has a condition of GS1 Registered barcodes or who fetch the data of the product from any central server of GS1 or any other company. Q2. Unique 13 digit number is just a number. Why can't I write a random number and use it as a barcode?
Ans. Every 16 digit number is not a credit card number. In the same way, every 13 digit number is not a valid EAN-13 number. These numbers are actually created using a specific algorithm. If your barcode doesn't meet the requirements of that, it is not a valid product ID. If you use a random number as a product ID, you may end up messing the details of your product for both online and offline. A random person scanning your barcode on the product packaging may find nothing related to it major ecommerce platfroms as all ecommerce platforms accept only valid 13 digit numbers.

Q3. Which Barcode Series Do You Provide?
Ans. We provide random series of barcodes. WE DO NOT PROVIDE 890 SERIES BARCODES as 890 series is Trade Mark of GS1 India. But do you really need 890 series to sell your products from India in global markets? That's a myth! You can sell your product anywhere in the world including India if your product don't have a 890 series. Most retail stores do not have any compulsion that you only need 890 series barcodes if you are planning to sell a product which is made in India. You can use any series barcode without problems. If you really need 890 series, you can get it from GS1 at a high price and then keep paying annual fees to them through the life of your product.

Q4. How do you deliver the codes?

Ans. Codes will be delivered to your registered email address in mostly 8 hours of confirmed payment. Codes will be sent in MS Excel sheet. The customer has to copy 1 code from the sheet and paste on the desired website while listing the product and the product will be listed.

Ans. Yes, for all the variations, use different codes. For instance, use different codes for Small, Medium & Large Sizes and also for Blue, Red & Purple colors. You don't need different codes for different portals. Same code can be used for 1 product for all portals.


Q10. Will Ecommerce websites remove my products if I use unregistered codes?

Ans. 90% of the products listed on Ecommerce Websites in India & Abroad are listed using these barcodes as India is a land of new sellers, so everyone can't afford to go with barcode registration. So there is less possibility that any Ecommerce Site will remove its 90% catalog. However, there is always a risk for the same that you should keep it in mind before placing the order. Ans. You may use the same code for listing a products on all the portals.

Q16. Do I also need to paste the printed barcodes on the product packaging when selling online?

Ans. If you are selling the product online only, there is no need to paste the printed barcode on the product packaging as it is not mandatory. When you have listed the product using the EAN codes, the job of the code is done. However if you are planning to send the product to modern retail, they may ask you to print the barcode on product packaging.

Q17. What is difference between Registered barcodes and QuickBarcode.com barcodes?

Ans. The barcodes issued by Global Organizations are quite expensive and it requires annual renewal also. Codes sold by QuickBarcode.com are NOT registered/authorized by any barcodes issuing authority, however these codes solve the same purpose and are suitable for small sellers who are not willing to spend too much money on certification of barcodes. You are advised to get the certified barcodes if you have large customer base and customers all over the country with retail counter everywhere. However if you are selling your products just online, certification is not advisable.

Ans. Please note that most Global Organizations never authorize any of its customers to resell the barcodes or EAN/UPC codes. So if someone is assuring you that the barcodes are certified, please ask them for a proof. For every registered barcode, the product corresponding to that barcodes is available on their website. So ask your seller if they can provide any proof for that.
